"Jet lag", also known as desynchronosis, is the feeling of fatigue and confusion that many people experience after traveling across multiple time zones quickly, typically by airplane. This temporary disorder occurs because the body's internal clock, or circadian rhythm, is out of sync with the local time of the destination.
For example, imagine flying from New York to London and arriving in the morning. Even though it's 9 AM in London, your body might still feel like it's 4 AM. This mismatch can make you feel groggy and disoriented.
